Nowadays,mobile phone,digital camera,flat-panel computer etc.portable electronic products develop rapidly,it is valuable to research a new switching power supply management IC.The hardcore of a direct-current switching power supply is DC-DC switching converter,because of its smaller size and lighter weight,it is widely used in portable electronic products.The thesis selects current control pulse width modulation(PWM)method to design a 3.3V to 1.8V step-down DC-DC switching power supply fabricated with Cadence 0.18?m CMOS process.The system adopts synchronous rectifier technology which can effectively reduce the power consumption of converter,and improve the conversion efficiency.The whole system are designed are simulated with Spectre.The result shows output voltage stabilizes at 1.8V when the input voltage is 3.3V,the maximal ripple voltage is 14.3mV,and the efficiency of this chip is high to 2MHz.In the rated load situation,the conversion efficiency of chip can achieves 86.5%.
