Switching power is popular for its small size, light weight, low loss and highefficiency and it’s widely used in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, automotive, aviation, appliances. In order to meet the design requirements of the low voltage input and high-voltageoutput, a peak current mode controlled boost converter is designed to provide a stable DCvoltage for infrared detector driver. The input voltage of the boost converter is5V, theoutput voltage is6V and the maximum load current is200mA, and its operating frequencyis1MHz.In this article, the three-terminal switching device model is applied to system modeland signal analyze the boost converter, a detailed theoretical derivation is given, and theloop model of the system is obtained. And then proceed from the perspective of systemstability and transient response, respectively, to analyze and design the current loop andvoltage loop parameters of the system, and through MATLAB simulation the system-levelparameters design is completed. Finally, under the guidance of the system-level designparameters, the circuit-level design and simulation of each important module of the entiresystem are completed, and the simulation results of each module and the entire system aregiven. The design applies the0.35um BCD technology, simulate using Cadence Spectre, thesimulation results show that the performance of each key modules is consistent with thesystem level requirements, and the maximum output voltage ripple of the designed boostconverter is10mV. When the input voltage has10%of the disturbance or the load currentswitches between the fully loaded200mA and the unloaded, the system can be operatedstably, and recovery time is less than25us.
