The applications of electronic device have been an unprecedented popularity,moreover,the key of preparation of electronic components is the electronic paste,and its quality is directly related to the performance of thick film components.As an important member of the electronic paste,RuO2 resistor paste,applied to the production of thick film circuit,has great potential for application in the field of military,aerospace,communications and car industry,because of its unique.catalytic activity and excellent chemical stability,such as low noise,strong reducing resistance,resistance to high power load,long-term storage stability and wide range of resistance values.At the same time,as highly metallic metal oxide with high conductivity metal oxide,RuO2 is also widely used in the field of electrochemical catalysis,integrated circuit and chlor-alkaliindustry.Therefore,the RuO2 thick-film resistor paste takes up a large proportion in the preparation of chip resistors and thick film integrated circuit.Compared with developed countries,our country is relatively weak in the core technology and production capacity,especially in the repeatability of the resistance values between different batches of RuO2 resistor paste.This results in that we must have long-term dependence on the import of foreign RuO2 resistor pastes.In this paper,the preparation of RuO2 powder was investigated by chemical precipitation method.At the temperature of 30?,65? and 95?,RuCl3 reacted with NH4HCO3,NaOH and tetramethyl ammonium bicarbonate(TMAHC)reaction,respectively.Subsequently,synthetic powders were then washed,filtered and dried.The glass powder was prepared with the method of water quenching and ball milling.Besides,the organic vehicle was prepared by heating in a water bath.With a certain ratio of modulation,the prepared RuO2,glass powder and organic carrier were mixed and finally prepared RuO2 resistance paste.Then the thick-film RuO2 resistance paste was printed and then dried.Draw the following conclusions:In the preparation process of RuO2,the particle size of the powder increased with the increase of the reaction temperature;under the same reaction temperature,compared with another two preparation materials,RuO2 powders prepared with TMAHC solution had better uniform distribution and less reunion.At the same time,according to the measured resistance value,RuO2 powders prepared with TMAHC solution were more suitable for the preparation of medium and low resistance paste.The RuO2 crystallization temperature was between 270? and 400?,the crystal water had completely disappeared and the crystal structure transformed into a rutile structure after sintering at 850?.In addition,according to the results of the measured resistance value,surface observation and energy spectrum analysis,the borosilicate glass phase prepared in this paper is more suitable for medium and high resistance paste.
