Ground motion has strong randomness and complexity which is the most uncertain factors in the seismic design of the structure,if the input is not accurate,even if the calc ulation process and results in accurate is meaningless.When the proposed site has enoug h seismic record,it does not require the modulation,however,the actual construction site is often only a few or no seismic records.At present,the several seismic records adopte d by the engineering staff in the study of seismic input are mostly recorded in the early s tage,is not a general representative,so it is necessary to carry out amplitude modulation for seismic record.The seismic records obtained by various amplitude modulation meth ods should be at least statistically significant in the main aspects of seismic elements to ensure the comparability of the results of structural Dynamic response analysis.The main research contents include three aspects: 1.According to the standard established three steel frame models and two steel braced fr ame,adopted Pushover analysis method to verify the correctness of the structure model.2.By ASCE,MIV,Sa(T1),and AC_mean amplitude analysis method analysed steel fra me and steel braced frame time history analysis,then obtained the ground motion param eters,respectively evaluate these four kinds of modulation method for steel frame and st eel support frame for the accuracy and effectiveness of the two structure of the system.3.Analysed the effectiveness of each modulation method,so as to take the most effectiv e way of seismic input data for different steel structure and provide quantitative basis fo r engineering design.The results show that the MIV scaling method is superior to other scaling methods for the steel frame structure system,and the method does not depend on the change of the basic period of the structure.For the steel braced structure system,MIV and ASCE scaling methods are better than the unscaling groung motion records.
