The launcher is an important part of TEL, composed of welding square tube. During the welding process, the welding residual stress and residual deformation are caused by the interaction of multi physical fields. At the same time, both of them will seriously affect the bearing capacity and performance of the welded structure. Through the combination of finite element and experimental method, this subject research on the distribution law of welding deformation of launch frame. And the welding process and welding tools are optimized to achieve the purpose of controlling welding deformation.In this paper, the finite element analysis of the temperature field and structure field is described. The thermal structure coupling model of the welding process is established, and the simulation results of temperature field are used as the load acting on the calculation of the structure field. The heat source model is the Gauss moving heat source model based on the technology of the life and death unit.The launcher of welded joints mainly in the form of T type and KT type. The two kinds of joints are simulated. It is concluded that the welding heat cycle has the characteristics of high heating speed, high temperature and short residence time, and the cooling rate is fast. Through the x, y, z direction of stress and deformation distribution curves of different paths, it is concluded that the welding deformation mainly occurs around the weld seam, and the deformation of the weld joint is more serious. The deformation of T joint is mainly oriented to the bending deformation of x direction(cross tube direction), and the deformation of KT joint is mainly based on the x direction deformation.The optimization of welding process is completed, and the welding parameters were tested by orthogonal test, which analyzed the main influence factors of welding deformation and its effect. The effect of welding current on the welding deformation is the most significant. In order to optimize the welding parameters of KT type joint, the welding procedure is optimized according to the welding sequence. The new tooling design was completed for two kinds of joint welding. Through the experiment, the simulation results are consistent with the experimental results, which proved that the welding finite element thermal structure model accuracy in the prediction of deformation.
