Practical Application Research Of Urban Regional Culture In Modern Interior Design

The unique traditional culture is formed during thedevelopment of every country and regional society in the world.With the trend of economic globalization,the cultural convergence has brought worldwide cultural interaction for global civilization.For a long time,geographical and cultural design has been the focus of attention in the field of interior design.With the emergence of new materials,the traditional design cannot compete with the efficient,practical and beautiful modern design,therefore the traditional design style elements are gradually disappearing from people’s view and the regional cultures become weak.With the blending of different design styles,various countries begin to pay attention and encourage the design with the feature of regionalism and culture.China has been exploring for a long time the inheritance and development of traditional regional culture design,and the interior design with new Chinese style has been booming in the recent years.But many new Chinese design stylesare just reflected in the retro styling and symbols,without much attention on space design with the characteristics of cities,as well as the awareness and understanding of the local cultures.In the background of globalization,as other countries in the world,our country also has the challenge of how to face the global cultural assimilation.How to inherit the local culture is the topic to be discussed and is also the basis of this subject.From the viewpoint of "time" and "space",using the concept of urban regional culture,this paper analyzes and summarizes the application of urban regional culture in modern interior designwith the method of theoretical research and practical exploration.It combines the form factors and aesthetic characteristics of urban regional culture,takes "Peach Blossom" project in Nanjing as an example to analyze and reflect,and sums up the previous researching ideas and design practices.In the interior design,with the modern design language integrating into the traditional culture and also combining with geographical features,it is hoped to create an indoor space environment with rich historical and cultural atmosphere.Finally,it expounds the importance and prospects of the practical application of urban regional culture in modern interior design.
