From Fantasy To Reality: 3D Printed Architectural Complexity Morphology Research

3D printing is a newly emerging constructing mode and can be applied in various fields.After its popularization in the building industry 3D printing building has been becoming a new orientation in the development of the industry.At the same time,building format is tending to complexity under the influence of complexity science and philosophy.Considering this phenomenon and tendency,firstly,this essay takes“ the complexity format of 3D printing building ” as study object,and states its concept definition,working principle and general advantage starting with 3D printing as beginning.Secondly,it outlines the concept definition and development process of 3D printing building in general to sum up the features of the building format systemically.Thirdly,it analyzes deeply the formation reason of complexity format of 3D printing building from views of philosophy,aesthetics,technology and economy.Based on that,this essay takes the “tou-kung of 3D printing building object” as issue and “the formation and construction of building complexity format” as theme,select “zhong’ang tou-kung at tou-end” as practical objective to finish the formation and construction of a 3D printing tou-kung via format confirmation,format generation and assembly on the precondition of the understanding of the historical evolvement,structural components and cultural significance etc.After the above theoretical study and design experiment,I wish that it will supplement the theoretical study of complexity format of 3D printing building,and bring some favorable reference for design practice,which may turn 3D printing building dream into reality.
