Objective:To explore the clinical application of 3D printing technique in acetabular fracture surgery.Method:20 cases of acetabular fracture cases were recruited from the Guiyang Fourth People’s Hospital during October 2013 to December 2015.All of the patients were randomly divided into 2 groups.3D printing technology assisted surgery(The experimental group)and traditional techniques surgery(The control group)and 10 patients in each group. The operation time, bleeding volume and postoperative complications were recorded. The fracture reduction was assessed with the acetabular fractures Matta criteria and postoperative curative effect was evaluated with the modified Merle D’Aubigne score table. Results:All the 20 patients were followed up for 3-24 months, the average follow-up was 10.45 months. The operation time, bleeding volume, complications, and postoperative function score of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the reduction of the fracture(P>0.05).In the control group,1 case-with femoral nerve traction,1 case with sciatic nerve injury,1 case with heterotopic ossification. In the experimental group, there was 1 case with heterotopic ossification, and no complications in the rest of the short-term follow-up.Conclusion:3D printing technology assisted acetabular fracture surgery can design the optimization operation plane for acetabular fractures, which shortened the operation time effectively, reduced soft tissue stripping, reduced operative bleeding volume, postoperative evaluation of fracture reduction effect is good.Good clinical effect was obtained.
