Clinical Study On Acupoint Embedding Method And Electroacupuncture Therapy For Simple Obesity Of Spleen Deficiency And Dampness Type

Objective:Observe the clinical effect of acupoint catgut embedding and electric acupuncture therapy on simple obesity patients of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome,and explore the effectiveness of two therapys in improving obesity indexes and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of simple obesity patients of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome,in order to provide a practical basis for the optimal selection of clinical treatment for simple obesity of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome.Methods:?A total of 66 patients with simple obesity in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria were collected.According to the patients' visiting order,they were divided into acupoint catgut embedding group and electric acupuncture group by random digital table,33 cases in each group.?Acupoints choosed for two groups are the same:Zhongwan,Shuifen,Qihai,Guanyuan,Tianshu(bilateral),liangmen(bilateral),Daheng(bilateral),Fujie(bilateral),Pishu(bilateral),Yinlingquan(bilateral),Fenglong(bilateral)and Ashi points.?Acupoint catgut embedding group was treated with conventional acupoint catgut embedding therapy biweekly(four weeks as a course).The patients were asked to avoid water for 24h after operation.?While electric acupuncture group was treated with electric acupuncture therapy by dilatational wave twice a week on Tianshu(bilateral),liangmen(bilateral),Daheng(bilateral),Fujie(bilateral).Tianshu and Liangmen were in pairs,Daheng and Fujie were in pairs.The positive pole was connected with upside acupoints and the negative pole with lower ones.Regulated the intension beat of the needle slightly to let it be suitable for patients.?During the treatment period,two groups of patients were required to have regular diet,three meals a day without diet,eight full per meal,not to eat in 5 hours before going to bed,to change unhealthy eating habits,for food in high sugar,fat and calorie.?Compared the change at the same time node on the obesity indexes(body mass,obesity,body mass index,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist hip ratio,subcutaneous fat thickness and fat percentage),traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and total effective rate of two groups of patients.Results:In the period of the treatment,2 cases from the acupoint catgut embedding group and 2 from the electric acupuncture group dropped out.A total of 62 cases were included in the statistical analysis,31 cases per group.?Intra group comparison:Compared with the data before treatment,body mass,obesity,body mass index,waist circumference,hip circumference,subcutaneous fat thickness,fat percentage and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the two groups were significantly decreased when after the first course and the second course of treatment(P<0.05),and the acupoint catgut embedding group had a significant change after two courses of treatment in improving the waist to hip ratio(P<0.05).?Inter group comparison:Compared within the two groups,there was no significant difference in body mass,obesity,body mass index,waist circumference,hip circumference,subcutaneous fat thickness and fat percentage and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score at the same time node both when after the first course and the second one(P>0.05).While there was a significant difference in the improvement of the waist to hip ratio between the acupoint catgut embedding group and the electric acupuncture group after a two-course-treatment(P<0.05).?The total effective rate:The total effective rate of acupoint catgut embedding group was 74.2%after the first course,while 93.5%after the second course.The total effective rate of electric acupuncture group was 71%after the first course,while 90.3%after the second course.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was equivalent(P>0.05).Conclusion:?The curative effect of acupoint catgut embedding and electric acupuncture therapy on simple obesity patients of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome was obvious and equal.?It has been seen obvious curative effect with both acupoint catgut embedding and electric acupuncture therapy for simple obesity patients of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome in the improvement of body mass,obesity,body mass index,waist circumference,hip circumference,subcutaneous fat thickness,fat percentage and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score.The curative effects of them were equal at the same time node.?Acupoint catgut embedding was better than the electric acupuncture on the improvement of waist to hip ratio for simple obesity patients of spleen deficiency dampness syndrome after two courses of treatment.
