The scholar are a combination of intellectuals and officials, whose customs and graces are called "atmosphere". it not only reflects in the level of the scholar's behavior, but also includes their way of thinking, values. Its formation is acted and reacted by the multiple factors, concerning about politics, economy, religion. In the late Northern Song Dynasty, officials partnership and political instability aggravate the prevalence of officials in pursuit of fame and fortune, bad official atmosphere is gradually becoming the mainstream. In Shenzong period, DenWan is a representative figure of(in) such atmosphere, his once saying,"let you ridicule and abuse, I still do my official", these words talks the voice of such officials. DenXunwu inherited his father's political style, vigorously pursuing the trickery and obtain favoritism to consolidate his position to obtain the successful official way. The article views various aspects of promotion process, political achievement and social relations of the son and father in order to understand the official atmosphere of the late northern song dynasty better.In Shenzong period, WangAnshi served as prime minister to preside over political reform. In order to become a higher official, DenWan joined the Reform camp. In Zhezong and Huizong period, DenXunwu as the descendants of the New Party ran to their brothers in order to the officer on the road smooth. In order to get better position and join those in power, but they also have relatively high administrative skills. Their evaluation at that time and history is relatively low, that is because their conduct is high, but that the evaluator himself cannot make objective judgment is also a reason that cannot be ignored.The bureaucratic ethos of the late Northern Song Dynasty can be seen from their promotion process:In order to get better jobs, a common practice in the pursuit of fame and fortune is prevailing. this has been impacted by the political environment at that time,in turn, exacerbated the political turmoil.
