| In intensive study of Ha Jin's works, people could deeply feel a tragic atmosphere and his writing implication. Based on "gray images" (tragedy) in Ha Jin's novels, this paper do a depth study and research of his works, including Ha Jin's immigration status, Chinese mood, novel writing techniques and etc.The first chapter makes a definition of tragedy, its literature history and writing theory, so as to define Ha Jin's connectivity and specificity for tragedy literature., The second chapter discusses "the being mode of tragedy". The paper concludes three types of being mode----dilemma of human existence, human deviation and disappear and its specific meanings, reasons and present methods from a philosophy view. The third chapter is about Ha Jin's unique perspective and modes of revelation for tragedy, then find its affection to literature history, human beings and tragedy literature writing. The fourth chapter research the way of tragic redemption, point out the redemption consciousness exists in his tragedy writing.Based on the tragedy implication of Ha Jin's novels, the paper study the being mode of tragedy, unique perspective, tragic redemption. The paper also refers to the content theme, types, writing forms, viewing angle, connotation of human nature and the meaning of philosophy involved in his tragic novels.
