In the development of quality-oriented education today,more and more children learn cello.Children has become the main object of enlightenment education. Learning cello is a multifarious activity that combines mind and motion. Children need to train hard and must have tremendous willpower and perseverance, only in this way can they get good grades.Today, with the development of society and technology, people have recognized that children not only improve their skill by training hard but also need guidance about the features of mental development. Establishing instruction objectives and choosing teaching method basically depend on the abilities and features of children's mental development. Cello educational workers should look at things with scientific and developmental view. Aimed at the content,methods and theory about children cello education, they should understand and study further by learning interdiscipline. In order to grasp the regularities of cello education in the round and enrich the theory of cello education, cello educational workers need to know children correctly and pay attention to the children's mental development. They also need to arrange the teaching content and teaching methods reasonably.According to children psychology and music psychology, this article makes an elementary discussion in three ways-individual,motivation and environment which can influence children psychological changement. It summarizes the regulation about mental development and proposes the cello teaching methods accordingly by linking theory with practice. Studying cello education from the perspective of scientific point and modern teaching according to theoretical knowledge and basic principles of children psychology is beneficial to develop the methodology of children cello education. It makes sense to provide correct guiding ideology for cello educational workers. Besides it is beneficial to children's physical and mental well-being. It lays a foundation of learning cello. Last but not least, it's beneficial to popularize and develop the cello education.
