Mo Yan is richly talented as a writer. He absorbs nutrition from the folk culture, western literature and classical Chinese literature, building up literary ideal in the creative activities, interpreting the literature in terms of literature theories and creation practice. The regional culture of Gao Mi has subtle impact on Mo Yan's literary pursuit. and the Latin American magic realism expands the Mo Yan's literary field of vision. Drawing on thoughts of western literature, Mo Yan gradually explores his creative ways of thinking and narrating.The fifth chapter evaluates Mo Yan's literature. The significance and limitations of Mo Yan's literature are both discussed.
