The Yunxing mountain locates in the Boshan district of Zibo city, and wherein, there are a total of 7 temples, namely the Yuhang, Sanqing, Sanjiao, Guandi, Zhongyi, Lüzu and Shidaifu. It is noteworthy that, while local gazetteers and literati anthologies barely mention, there are indeed Quanzhen Taoists such as MA Yizhong who live there and serve as the manager. Not only that, the Quanzhen managers maintain a good relationship with the local gentry and the powerful families, and whereby establish a far-ranging network and the symbolic capital; furthermore, taking the advantage of Nian rebellion, they even involve into building the local sacrificial rites. On the basis of our former research, we will at last give a second thought to the history of Taoist submission to local society and the theory of religious market, two popular perspectives which influence a lot in the academic community, and venture to say that, although they could shed some new light on the macro-history of Taoist study, are not enough to explain the Taoist micro-history in local society.
