Seng Zhao's Epistemological Thought And Its Value Implication

Seng Zhao is one of the famous Buddhist scholars of Eastern Jin in Northern and Southern Dynasties. He built a complete and profound significance in epistemology system by putting forward and going through abundant epistemological issues in lots of famous academic works, such as "corpus of Seng Zhao" and so on.In this paper, the monk divided research and writings into commentaries, thought research, studies, overseas research and journal papers. He analyzed and described these works in brief from different angles, appending the individual's awareness and understanding. Meanwhile, in order to pave the way for the later content, he illustrated detailly about the purpose of writing this article and the difficulty in writing.Sengzhao epistemology owns the thinking style of the speculative nature and Madhyamika Buddhism in Wei and Jin dynasties. From the Buddhist "the sense of origin" to the spread of the dragon tree Kumarajiva, it is the origin and evolution of the Buddhist thought of Sengzhao understanding. Metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties experienced four periods of development procedure, its thinking makes a crucial impact on the Sengzhao epistemology. Buddha fusion and the solution space are the most unique in mysterious monk thought of epistemology.Although the philosophy in western and Chinese has a world difference in the relation between subject and object, but the ones in western and Chinese are all from separated entities. While, the subjective and objective thought in Sengzhao epistemology are unified in the same thing, as well as the two aspects from one thing. Therefore, it could cause the vanish of the difference from subjective and objective thoughts, and then went into "one entirety".In the way of cognition, he put forward "nameless" and "utter word", analyzing their the function and bringing out the truth that can not be said clearly; "Shun and inverse" views could be said to think of things from two different ways; the "over interpretation" analyzed the unique negative discourse in his book by interpretation; "transcendence and the way of understanding in Prajna Yuen Kam" observed everything in the world with intuitive insight.The "or wisdom" from the ordinary dues to the confusion, and the "sage" from the sage is the intuitive insight into the reality of all things.
