Huang Sheng's Poetics Research

HuangSheng,named Guan,was born in AnHui Province.He lived in Ming and Qing dynasties.When it was Qing dynasty,HuangSheng went into seclusion,writing books.He occupied an important position in the Exegetical Studies and Chinese Ancient Poetics.The thesis,in order to explore HuangSheng's significance of Poetics,is composed of five sections,as follows HuangSheng's theory of poetry,HuangSheng's poetic emotion,HuangSheng's poetics principle and the characteristics of HuangSheng's poetry review.The first chapter is HuangSheng's theory of poetry,composed of three sections,as follows the diction,synatx and rules.which construct the theoretical framework of HuangSheng's poetic creation.Firstly,the paper emphasize the importance of exact words,and content words and form words.Secondly,the paper summarized the sentence patterns of Tang poems and the antithesis sentence.At the last,the paper discussed the importance of Chinese writing model from the perspective of rules.What's more,the paper focused on the first sentence and last sentence,considering that the first sentence should be loud and polish,and the last sentence should be implicit.The second chapter is HuangSheng's poetic emotion.In the section,the paper firstly discussed the emotion in the poetry.And for the topic,for one thing,the paper supposed that emotion is precious for poetry,and for another the emotion should be sincere.Secondly,the paper discussed the eloquence of the poetry.HuangSheng thought that no sense is emotion,and feelings mingle with scenes is very impotant,too.At the last,the essay summarized that the emotion in the poetry appeared by the eloquence and the scene.The third chapter is HuangSheng's poetics principle,which is composed of three sections,as follows follow an ancient custom of elegance,advocate nature,and rhythm.Firstly,the paper found that the ancient poet all follow the ancient customs of elegance,which was the same as “the purpose of poets”,and the poetic language must be imlicit.Secondly,the paper discussed the phenomenon which HuangSheng advocated nature.The last section is the sound meter and rhyme,by which HuangSheng made a claim for the beauty in language and form.The forth chapter is the characteristics of HuangSheng's poetry review,which is composed of two sections.The first section summarized the style of interpreting and comenting poetry,which included five points.The first point is combining the poetic theory with poetic content;The second point is interpreting and comenting the poetry by poetry;The third point is explicating his thoughts;The forth point is using a dialectic attitude;The fifth point is analyzing allusion.In the second section,the paper considering that HuangSheng used the way of comparison when he was interpreting and commenting poetry.He compared poetry which had the same things,synatx and content.In the epilogue,the paper praised the achievements and contribution of HuangSheng in Chinese ancient poetic,beside in the the Exegetical Studies.Because of the dialectic attitude,the paper also found the flaw of HuangSheng.
