On The Dance Creation Of The Traditional Ritual "Cry Marry" In Hunan

This paper studies the traditional ceremony called "crying marriage" in Hunan province in order to take the ceremony into dance choreography. It aims at make the dance pieces not only goodat appreciation but also full of sense of ceremony.The thesis express ideas from the following several parts: 1,introduction: this part elaborates the reasons and backgrounds that why choose the Hunan traditional rituals "crying marriage" as the research object, and also expresses the research methods and how to solve the difficulties and problems. 2,This part describes the features, character, regions and dressingsof the traditional "crying marriage" ceremony in Hunan province. 3, This part puts the theories into practice: made a choreography named "jump imp" with folk props and environmental props. 4,Conclusion: To find some new thoughts and methods in dance choreography through the practice in the work of "jump imp".
