Research On Professional Identity Of Higher Vocational Students

Speciality study is classified into concrete major in our country, whether students like his/her own major, speciality identity is an important fact which affects students' major study and the growth, so it is a topic problem which widely be paid attention in the recent years'research.This research takes the Nanjing Engineering Vocational College students as subjects, using interviews, questionnaire survey methods, after discussions with teachers and students, open questionnaire survey, interviews, expert judgement and research design process, establishing the structure of speciality identity of professional students, finally we complete the questionnaire of professional students' speciality identity. Using the questionnaire, we investigate the Nanjing Engineering Vocational College students, drawing the following conclusions:1. Professional students' speciality identity can be divided into three psychology dimension which are major identity, employment prospects identity, higher vocational school identity. The formal questionnaire of professional students' speciality identity includes 37 questions,5 major identity items,8 employment prospects of identity items,10 iterms of higher vocational school identity and 4 polygraph questions. The questionnaire has high reliability and validity, it can be used as a measuring tool for professional students' speciality identity.2. the Nanjing Engineering Vocational College students' speciality identity total score and three dimension scores are higher than generally median.3.Gender, grade, department, achievements, whether serving as student leaders, family location will affect students' major identity.
