Objective:To explore abnormal performances in trait anxiety individuals of lateralized hemisphere functions of the network for alarm, orienting and control-implementing in emotion adjustment. Methods:Testing 96 college students with 48 males and females respectively with Emotion-Lateralized Attention Networks Test (E-LANT). The experiment adopts a multi-factored design with 2 Visual Field (Left visual field, Right visual field) × 4 Cue Position(Valid, Invalid, Central, None) X 2 Flanker Congruity(Congruent, Incongruent)× 4 Emotional Value (Happy, Neutral, Horror, Angry) X 2 Anxiety Level (High, Low). Results:The analysis of alarm effect values shows:the alarm effect values of neutral and horror emotions in right vision/left hemisphere are higher than in left vision/right hemisphere, but the difference between alarm effect values of low and high anxiety are not notable. The analysis of orienting effect values shows:(1) The effective orienting values for high-anxiety group to happy, neutral and angry emotions in left vision/right hemisphere are significantly higher than in right vision/left hemisphere. The effective orienting values for low-anxiety group to horror emotions are significantly higher than for low-anxiety group to happy, neutral and angry emotions, but effect values do not have notable differences in different visions or hemispheres;(2) The ineffective orienting values high-anxiety group to happy and horror emotions are significantly higher than to neutral emotions in left vision/right hemisphere, but the ineffective orienting values to neutral and horror emotions are significantly higher than to happy emotions in right vision/left hemisphere. The ineffective orienting values low-anxiety group are not notable in different visions or hemispheres. The analysis of control-implementing effect values shows:The control-implementing effect values of high-anxiety group to angry emotions in left vision/right hemisphere are significantly higher than to happy, neutral and horror emotions, and are also higher than to angry emotions in right vision/left hemisphere. The control-implementing effect values of low-anxiety group to happy and neutral emotions in left vision/right hemisphere are significantly higher than in right vision/left hemisphere, but that to horror emotions in in right vision/left hemisphere are significantly higher than in left vision/right hemisphere.Conclusions:(1) Advantage effects exist in left hemisphere for the alarm effects of neutral and horror emotions. Happy emotions triggers stronger alarm effects in right hemisphere, but alarm effects of emotion effect values do not have difference in different hemispheres for high-and low-anxiety groups; (2) The effective orienting for happy, neutral and angry emotions of high-anxiety individuals have advantages in right hemisphere. Their orienting effects for angry emotions are stronger in right hemisphere, and that for horror emotions are stronger in left hemisphere; (3) It is harder for high-anxiety individuals to get off neutral, horror and angry emotions in left hemisphere;(4) Advantage effects exist in left hemisphere for the control-implementing of angry emotions for high-anxiety individuals. Their efficiency of control-implementing of angry emotions in right hemisphere is the lowest. Advantage effects exist in left hemisphere for the control-implementing of happy and neutral emotions for high-anxiety individuals. Advantage effects exist in right hemisphere for the control-implementing of horror emotions for them. Their efficiency of control-implementing of horror emotions in right hemisphere is the highest.
