| Phonetic acquisition is the top priority for learners who want to master Mandarin. Vowels are an indispensible part of the phonetic system. For the beginners of Mandarin student, it is necessary to have a good master of vowels.This thesis draws upon the data from Indonesia students who are in the beginning level of Chinese language.Firstly, the data will be collected in the form of recorded vowel sound pronunciation from the Indonesia students.Secondly, the recorded sound will be analyzed by Praat and summarized in the form of statistic information.Thirdly, the set of this information will be compared to the standard pronunciation of a native speaker. Subsequently,the result will be analyzed in order to determine factors that have the effects over the Chinese vowel pronunciation, which is based on theories such as the theory of communicative language, the theory of comparing and analyzing of language and the theory of phonetic error analysis.Finally,the outcome and the summary of the problem will be brought up to the strategic presentation in teaching in order to improve the vowel pronunciation for beginners of Chinese language, particularly for Indonesia students,resulting in the most achievement to further Chinese teaching in the future. |
