Tea poetry is a special part of Bai juyi’s poetry. The number of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry is 64. Bai Juyi was the first poet to write a lot of tea poetry in the history. Combining its physical and spiritual characteristics of tea, Bai Juyi, with its unique artistic vision, wrote a number of great tea poems both in quality and quantity. Bai Juyi’s tea poetry has played a very important role not only in the tea poetry of Tang Dynasty but also in the whole ancient poetry.This paper is divided into three parts:introduction, discussion and conclusion.The first part is the introduction.lt mainly defines the concept of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry, and introduces the current situation of the research, and make relevant description regarding the method and significance of research.The second part is the main body, which is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses abundant things of tea life in Bai Juyi’s tea poetry. Bai Juyi’s tea poetry describes the elegance in a wide variety of tea and the rich flow of tea activities, reflects the tea economy and customs of Tang, shows the function of tea in Bai Juyi’s life. Bai Juyi’s tea poetry has a certain historical value. Through the observation of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry in the description of the tea life, we have a better understanding of Bai Juyi’s lifestyle, life hobby, social communication and the cultural customs of Tang society. The second chapter discusses that Bai Juyi’s tea poetry has a unique aesthetic style. Plain and shallow words, prose poems of brushwork, a light flavor of discussion make the language of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry filled with delicate and smooth beauty.Whether it is tea imagery alone, or a combination of tea images and other images,they are all showing a fresh and natural beauty in Bai Juyi’s tea poetry.The sentiment of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry also has a leisurely lazy beauty:to enjoy life, to embrace life in a relaxing mood. Bai Juy’s tea poetry has unique exotic charm. Bai Juyi’s tea poetry is appreciated by many later scholars and tea drinkers. The third chapter discusses the cultural implication of Bai Juyi’s tea poetry. The tea poetry in four different stages of Bai Juyi, not only shows his personal feelings, embodies the human well-being of the world, but also shows the ups and downs of his life accompanied by tea as well as auxiliary effect of tea on the formation of Bai Juyi’s model. Bai’s tea poems also reflects the relevant features of social and cultural transformation in Tang. Restrained realm of tea poem has a close connection with a narrow circle of literati’s life.The tea poetry’s plain and fresh features are synchronized with upholding personality and novelty of the times. The ideological belief of pursuing a balanced life in tea poetry is affected by the three religions.The third part is the conclusion.lt not only affirms Bai Juyi who wrote a lot of tea poems serving as a link between the past and the future, but also affirms Bai’s poem in tea activities, aesthetic features and cultural connotations of the three aspects of research value. At the same time, it also points out the limitations of Bai Juyi’s poetry.
