Based on the research of septasyllabic regulated verse in the prophase of Northern Song Dynasty, this paper is composed of five parts: the poets of Bai Juyi's style , the Late-Tang Dynasty style , the Xikun style , the Latter Xikun style and the innovation on poetry and prose. In every section,on a basis preceded research production, first there is a check on the representative poets, including chief introduction of their life, poetic opinion and analysis of their septasyllabic regulated verses .At the same time attention is still paid to the circumambient minor poets , striving to roundly hold the complexion of the septasyllabic regulated verse in this period and discussing the clew how the prosody evolved and developed. As far as concrete methods are concerned, we use both texual research and discussion to review carefully each poet's changes of theme, style, skills and their contribution to development and try to make clear the transition from Tang's style to Song's.In the first chapter, there holds a discussion of the reason why Bai Juyi's style was popular in the beginning of Song Dynasty. We have an inquisition of the poets ,and put them into three kinds. The subject of this style is mainly about the leisure and comfortable mood, ambition and feelings. It's lucid in style and had a tendency of poetry with prose elements. In the second part, we have a talk about the implication of "Late-Tang Dynasty poetry style", and divide the poets who have different choices of themes, styles and skills into filling an office and retiring from political life. Through research we can find out the poets of seclusion is more representative, and from their theme, style and skills we can see the direct of the septasyllabic regulated verse of north Song dynasty's development. The third and forth chapters analyze implication of "Xikun style",and compare the history-ode poems, object-ode poems, love poems in Xikun Chouchang Ji with Li Shangyin's of the same kind. We find if Li Shangyin's were called "Sao peotry style" , Xikun style was "ode style" which laid a basis of "regulated verse with ode elements" and "poetry with scholarship" in the North Song Dynasty. The fifth part examines the Latter Xikun poem style. The poets can be put into 4 groups. From studying their poems, we can see the influence of Xikun style and their own characteristics of theme, style, skills and so on..In the last chapter, we discuss the innovation on poem and prose during the reign the Emperor Renzong which slammded Xikun poetry style. The poets advocated "qige" in their poems, changed the gorgeous style of the former Xikun poetry style from different facets, and in the process of studying and breaking the latter Xikun poetry style, they developed their speciality, which lay a basis on the macurity of septasyllabic regulated verse in Yuanyou years.
