Nowadays, with continuous improvement of China's international status, more and more foreigners start to learn Chinese. Cultural words, as a part of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language, has been paid more and more attention. Cultural words are a combination of culture and words, and cultural words are bearing the double identity of vocabulary teaching and culture teaching. That is to say, only when the culture teaching and language teaching are combined together very well can make the foreign students learn standard Chinese and effectively spread the Chinese culture to all over the world. Conducting the cultural words teaching is not only a classroom step of learning the basic knowledge of Chinese, but also a process of gradually understanding and knowing the Chinese outstanding historical culture for learners. The learning of cultural words, on the one hand, can expand students' vocabulary and improve their reading ability, on the other hand, it can help students understand China's cultural phenomenon, so as to avoid cultural misunderstanding and bias and ultimately achieve the goal of cultivating communicative ability.Cultural words have a rich connotation, which includes social life and other aspects, so the definition and classification of cultural words have no unified conclusion in academic world. Combining with the existing research results and the author's experience of communicating with foreign students, the author started from the whole complexity of classroom teaching to reclassify the cultural words and clearly distinguish the cultural words and from general terms, so that teachers can pay much attention to the cultural words and formulate the targeted teaching strategy in the future teaching of cultural words.This thesis mainly consists of four parts:The introduction analyzes the research status and meaning of culture terms, and explains the object and scope of the research. At the same time, the author also uses the scientific method to achieve the aim of the research, so that it can promote the teaching of cultural words smoothly.Chapter two expounds the relationship between language and culture, and the definition and characteristic of culture words. Then cultural words are divided into implied cultural words and dominant culture terms. It also discusses the relation between implied cultural words and cross-cultural communication, and the relation between implied cultural words and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Among them, it mainly discusses the importance and particularity of implied cultural words in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and emphasized the special status of implied cultural words.Chapter three is the main part of the thesis. Combining with the characteristics of the implied cultural words, it concretely discusses the selection, interpretation strategy, practice and test of cultural words. Among them, the interpretation strategy includes antitheses, context, cultural experience, tracing method and classification. Different teaching methods are adopted according to different teaching situation, so that teachers can find a new method to conduct an innovative teaching. Finally, the author also puts forward matters which need to pay attention to in teaching, such as vocabulary control, error correction and qualities that teachers should have, so that it can promote the teaching of cultural words.The last part is the conclusion, and it mainly summarizes the research content and analyzes the deficiency of this study.
