| In recent years,there has been a debate in the field of implicit learning: whether implicit learning requires selective attention? Some researchers found that implicit learning doesn't require selective attention.Subjects could both implicitly learned attended materials and unattended materials.However,the others have come to the opposite conclusion: implicit learning needs selective attention.Only attended materials could be implicitly learned,but not unattended materials.Obviously,the relationship between selective attention and implicit learning remains unresolved and needs further study.In the past,there were various materials used in implicit learning.In view that visual implicit learning(VIL)has material sensitivity.What's more,most of the previous researches just investigated VIL,but few focused on auditory implicit learning(AIL).It's also unknown that whether AIL has material sensitivity.Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the effect of selective attention on AIL with different materials to provide evidence for the processing mechanism of implicit learning.There were 191 college students took part into two experiments.Artificial Grammar Learning task was used.The results showed:(1)When material types of two ears were the same,the main effect of selective attention was significant,the main effect of the material types was not significant,there was no significant interaction effect.(2)When material types of two ears were different,the main effect of attended material types was not significant,the main effect of test material types was significant,interaction effect was significant.Conclusion:(1)When material types of two ears were the same,selective attention has effect on AIL,but there is no effect of material types on AIL.(2)When material types of two ears were different,material types and selective attention both have influence on AIL.AIL also has material sensitivity.The implicit learning effect of meaningful materials is better than meaningless materials. |
