| As an important representative of Neo-Marxism in Czechoslovakia,Eastern Europe,Ivan Svitak reflected his profound implementation of instructions of Marxism in his philosophical ideas.He attempted to combine workers’ freedom,practices and conflicts of humanitarian socialism by building socialism with a "humanitarian look".Ideological theories of Ivan Svitak throughout his life can be divided into three periods,namely criticism of dogmatism,criticism of capitalism and reflections of socialism and humanitarianism.The main line going through the three periods is his Marxist humanitarianism.By devoting his whole life to pursuing humanitarianism,Ivan Svitak kept on exploring what socialism was and how to build a free and humanitarian socialist society.Thus,through analysis of the formation process and specific content of Ivan Svitak’s Marxist theories,one can get a more comprehensive understanding of Ivan Svitak’s ideas and his influence on Neo-Marxism in Eastern Europe.This paper consists of six parts.Chapter 1 introduces the formation background of Ivan Svitak’s humanitarian Marxism from the perspective of external and internal causes.First,externally,social movements in Czechoslovakia and influence of Stalinism in the Soviet Union were the direct causes leading to the formation of Ivan Svitak’s ideas.Second,internally,Ivan Svitak was personally deeply influenced by Marxism and Humanitarianism,and his continuous reflections on generation of socialism and Western capitalism greatly enriched his philosophical ideas.The body part is from Chapter 2 to Chapter 5 Proceeding from analytic philosophy,Ivan Svitak discussed the abnormal trend of dogmatism and bureaucratism.He emphasized on freedom and development of man,thinking that man should be the cornerstone of socialism.By studying essence and development models of man,he pointed out the meaning of the theory of man.Additionally,Ivan Svitak,based on the theory of criticism of alienation,came up with his own Marxian view,and examined social ideology and the relationship between man and society.Along with development of science and continuous progress of anthropology,Ivan Svitak formed the Marxian view with his own characteristics in view of Marxist anthropology and humanitarianism.Chapter 6 summarizes the whole research,and points out the contemporary significance of Ivan Svitak’s humanitarian Marxism and its implications to cultural development of China. |
