The Use Of Natural Light Effects In Contemporary Film Photography

The use of light in cinematography occupies a very important position, where there is light where there is a shadow, the film is a kind of light and shadow art. Use light for filming, is the common pursuit in today's film make. Most of the movies we see nowadays used the natural light effects, the image of the film looks simple, natural,and real. When cinematographers shooting a film, they should use their life experience to create a naturalistic look of the image. The author of this thesis have use the natural light effects shooting a short film, and through the film make to explore the use of natural light effects in today's cinematography. In the first chapter, I elaborate the significance of using light in film make and the intention of using the natural light effects in my film. In the second chapter, I analyzed the development of light effects in cinematography to explore how natural light effects generated. In the third chapter, by discussing the characteristics of natural light effects, the difference between natural light effects and only use natural light for shooting, and the two important cinematographers who use natural light effects to analyze the aesthetic significance of natural light effects. And in the fourth chapter through the technical practice to explore how to make natural light effects in today's film making.
