| Yan Geling is one of the most influential new immigrant writers in Chinese literary scene.The interleaving writing is the consistent characteristic of Yan’s novels since 1990 s.The aim of this paper is to probe the human nature by studying the interleaving writing in Yan’s novels since 1990 s and reveal her pursuit of ideal humanity.Besides the introduction and conclusion,the body of this paper consists of three chapters.The first chapter is mainly to analyze the three kinds of Yan’s novels since 1990 s,including immigration novels、history novels and urban novels,in order to reveal the secrets of the bottom of humanity through each of living situations.The second chapter mainly discusses three interlaced narrative techniques of Yan’s novels since 1990 s,including the form of “time and space”、the nested structure of the story and the polyphony of narrative perspectives.The third chapter deciphers the ideal humanity of Yan’s novels.Yan always puts the ideal factors on female characters.Through these female characters,we can understand Yan’s viewpoint on ideal humanity that is tenderness 、 kindness 、originality、wildness、toleration and the persistent pursuit of the unlimited freedom.The conclusion part is to summarize the pros and cons of Yan’s interleaving writing and to explore the limitations and significances of Yan’s viewpoint on ideal humanity. |
