Talking About The Evolution Track Of The Mohist Family From The Relationship Between Zhou And Qin

Mohist was born on the early phase of The Warring Age,it was one of the most influential schools in the hundred schools of thought.At first,Mohist developed rapidly and became an important school which could contend against Confucianist.But on the mid-to late The Warring Age,Mohist was split gradually,meanwhile its theory was absorbed by other schools continually.this paper tries to put Mohist into the whole political?social and academic background of The Warring Age to analyze it,probing into the condition and clue that Mohist theory merged together with other schools theories,and finding out the phenomenon and trend of the hundred schools theories interaction.The fist part of this paper will discuss three statements of Mohist's origin,so that we can seek for the ideal source of Mohist.The second part will analyze the debate of Confucianist and Mohist from the Book of Mencius and the Book of Mo-tse,so that we can reveal the acute situation of Confucianist and Mohist on the early phase of The Warring Age.The third part will discuss the divisive condition of Mohist after the death of Mo-tse,some disciples developed the logic of Mothist,some went to Qin to help to dominate all of China.The fourth part will discuss the fusion of thoughts in the late period of The Warring Age,Song xing and Yin wen inherited and developed the theory of Mohist,Xuncius on one hand criticized Mothist,on the other hand he converted the theory of Mohist and used it.The Book of Rites developed the social and political ideal of Mohist and formed the influential theory of Great Harmony.
