The Structure Of The Aristocratic Personality And Its Preliminary Measurement

At first,our country's aristocrat is gradually accumulated on the basis of patriarchal system and ties of blood,but the formation of noble spirit is relatively late.And subsequently they all annihilate or decay in history.C urrently,the rapid changing society has undergone earth-shaking transformation compared to the past,scholars of sociology and social psychology point out that our country is now at a critical stage of social transformatio n,but individuals' mental developments slightly lag behind and are unstable,this issue has already gained great concern from all circles.Researchers think that certain aspects of social mentality have tended to lose balance.Some really shocking events frequently occur,such as forcing celebrities to donate,corruption,yueyue the little girl cases.In general,forming the existing circumstance of social mentality that “the demise of noble spirit,the rise of rogue consciousness”,which means individuals' become revolutionary and need noble spirit.The forms and changes of this diffused socio-psychological state in the society or certain groups will have enormous impact on the whole society.So,what makes such changes in social mentality? Researchers think that culture tradition realizes the feeding and shaping of social mentality through individual's socialization,factors like people's thinking and behavior also cannot be ignored.This study argues that the lack of noble spirit and the revolutionary personality prevail are the main reasons for this existing social mentality,therefore,puts forward the “noble personality” concept,trying to give inspirations on solving those problems emerged from current social mentality through the exploration of noble personality's structure,influence factors and the relationship between it and revolutionary personality.Meanwhile,due to the close attention on cultural psychology and psychology of religion,conducting studies on the meaning and structure of noble personality under the background of C hinese culture seems necessary,it can supplements and enriches the indigenous personality theory.Research one focusing on the structure of noble personality and scale development.Using word association method and in-depth interview to collect and classify the typical behaviors data of noble personality,combining literature review,advices of the team expert and participants' feedback,this study developed the preliminary trial scale.Value,dealing style,restraint,personal qualities,philosophy,coping,and rules are the seven dimensions with high reliability trough exploratory factor analysis method.Research two is to conduct validity and confirmatory factor analysis on the seven dimensions structure of noble personality and the results support it,this conform to initial theoretical conception with high criterion related validation and construct validity.Research Three analyzes possible influence factors and the relationship between noble personality and revolutionary personality.Results show that there is no significant correlation between them.Gender and believe in religion or not has no difference on their score,family income can predict their score.Further study need to dig deeper on the meaning and structure of noble personality,developing scales that are more targeted and of wide applicability.
