Historical And Cultural Works Manchuria: Cradle Of Conflict (Chapter1, 2) English-Chinese Translation Practice Report

The author selects the first and second chapters of Manchuria: Cradle of Conflict to translate.This book introduces the social economic and cultural conflict of Manchuria in the specific history period.The two chapters are mainly about the ethnic groups and culture of Manchuria as well as the important relation between tribes and “reservoir”.This book belongs to the historical text,which includes many historical and cultural vocabulary,archaic words,Manchu words and long sentences in the article.In the process of translation,the translator carries out a summary of the translation and makes a detailed description in the thesis.In this paper,according to the socio-cultural text,the selection of lexical meaning and amplification of historical information are mainly analyzed in this paper.The author hopes that this report can make a contribution to the translation of historical texts;provide a more comprehensive perspective of Chinese history for Chinese people and promote academic exchange of Chinese and Western culture.
