Rub Yourself In The Material

Integrated materials are involved in and open up the visual language in a unique way in contemporary painting creation.The charm of the material language makes some painters indulged and they emphasize more on the material rather than the things that really matter.This paper proposes choosing materials purposefully,and encourages promoting the feeling expression,expressing oneself and explore the nature in the subconscious level through choosing different materials.At the same time,we aim at embodying the material painter's inner feeling,emotion,thinking pattern and spirit.Material is not a platform to spread the influence,but a participator,inspirer and a promotor.First of all,the paper will briefly discusses integrated materials' meaning and expression by giving examples in the history.And then,combined with the writer's own painting practice,how to choose and expand the use of material will be discussed.At last,the paper will express the perfect match between material and inner emotion and interaction between those two.In the end,the paper will introspect on painting and briefly discuss my understanding towards "contemporaneity" of art and Chinese painting.
