Out Of The Mud And Not Dyed - The Study Of The Lotus Flower Creation

“Nature beauty of hibiscus rising out of clear water”.The simple and elegant beauty of lotus is completely expressed by Libai through this sentence.In daily life or in literature works,we can always see the lotus and read the words about the lotus.No matter the lotus' s elegant and noble gestures or its harmony and holy meaning are all deeply favored by people.In the long Chinese painting history,the painting masterpieces that take the lotus as the theme emerged in an endless stream.In this essay,from the aspect the of lotus' s artistic appealing,we have analyzed the representative painters of the past dynasties like Da Zhu,Changshuo Wu,Baishi Qi,as well as their masterpieces.We analyzed their unique knowledge,attainments and painting skills and their influences on the lotus painting in the later ages.Based on the research about these famous painters and their expression methods,I express my opinions about the lotus painting by combing my own painting works from the lotus painting methods,inking,color and material selection aspect,the reference function for the modern painting methods aspect,and the painting heritage and innovation aspects.
