The Music Style And Singing Skills Of The Vocal Set "The Four Seasons Of The Motherland"

Song-cycle initiated by Beethoven is originated from the west.The characteristic of song-cycle is that the same theme is expressed by several songs under the united title.The songs in the song-cycle are independent,the performance of these songs is also different.However,these songs have clear link in content,and have similarity and change in music,which forms a harmonious whole together.The artistic form of song-cycle is adapted by Chinese artists after being spread into China,which forms into Chinese art characteristics song-cycles.Zheng Qiufeng,the famous composer,writes many popular songs,but has only created one song-cycle-"Four seasons in Our Motherland".This works combining western compositions and Chinese tradition has significant influence,making great contribution to Chinese Song-cycle.The song-cycle in this paper contains four songs-“Spring-Spring of the motherland”,“Summer-The seagulls fly”,“Autumn-Pamir,how beautiful my hometown”,“Winter-My motherland” and a song between song " In front of the monument ",which shows the beauty of the four seasons in China through these five songs.These two songs of“Spring-Spring of the motherland” and “Autumn-Pamir,how beautiful my hometown” are quite popular,however,another songs are seldom known by people.During the graduate,I put much effort on performing these two songs of “Spring-Spring of the motherland”and “Autumn-Pamir,how beautiful my hometown”,which makes me deeply understand the author's intention to perform.These paper contains four aspects: the first part is the biography and written style of Zheng Qiufeng and Qu Zong;the second part is the similarities and differences of song-cycle between Chinese and western;the third part is the music style of "Four seasons in Our Motherland" and the last part is performing skills of song-cycle-"Four seasons in Our Motherland".
