Ouyang Xiu's Poetry Research On Double Words

poetry is an important literary form,it not only has literary value,but language value.As an outstanding litterateur,Ouyang Xiu has 901 poems and 240 Ci-Poets.it has lots of reduplicated words in the poetry,so this paper try to study the reduplicated words in Ou's works from the aspect of lexicology.we do research on 225 reduplicated words of Ou's poetry from concept,type,form,semantic meaning,grammar,pragmatics to enrich our study of recent reduplicated words.The paper contains six chapters except introduction and conclusion:In the first chapter,we define the concept of the reduplicated words,225 reduplicated words can be divided into four classes according to the meaning relation between monosyllables and the whole word,and whether adding new lexical significance or grammatical significance.In the second chapter,we discuss the form of structure type of reduplicated words and find that all of them are AA type.In particular,we do a detailed study on the form and our conclusion is that both forms are phrase,not reduplicated word.In addition,The reduplicated words in Ou's poetry have a lot of parts of speech.besides the adjective,onomatopoeia,verb,nouns,numerals,adverb are also included.In the third chapter,according to the vocabulary meaning of the reduplicated words,these words would be divided into five semantic types: simulating sounds,depicting figures,backdrop of the examination,indicating the degree and name.In the fourth chapter,according to the part of speech,we analyze the syntactic function of 225 reduplicated words.It is particularly important that the word which speech is not change has different syntactic functions in different sentences.so one reduplicated word has more than one function.In the fifth chapter,we summarize the rhetorical function of the reduplicated words and sum up four classes,such as describing the vividly image,emphasizing the behavior and state,adjusting the syllable,indicating motion.In the sixth chapter,we analyze the two features of the reduplicated words,theone is about the relation of form and meaning,the other one is pairs of words.225 reduplicated words have three classifications:a glyph with only one meaning,a glyph with more than one meaning,more than one glyph with similar meanings.moreover,225 reduplicated words are divided between pairs of same part of reduplicated words and pairs of different part of reduplicated words.
