Research On "Xian(?)X" Time Words In Contemporary Chinese

In Contemporary Chinese,there are a large number of nouns that represent the meaning of " now".We divide these nouns into three categories.In this article,we focus on four words:"xianshi(??)","xianxia(??)","xianjin(??)" and"xianrujin(???)".The main research methods we used are statistical analysis,comparative analysis and multi-aspects analysis.In the second chapter,we mainly analyze the formation of such temporal nouns and their word-building mechanisms.The mechanisms related to us research are metaphor and lexicalization.In the third chapter,we do our research from three aspects of the words:semantic features,syntactic functions and pragmatic functions.Not only their common features,but their personality characteristics.In terms of semantic features,we mainly examine the two aspects of these words.Firstly,we analyze two time adverbials in contemporary Chinese:point of time and period of time.Secondly,we analyze the sematic feature of these words is their vagueness in meaning.In terms of grammatical functions,we mainly discuss the characteristics of these words when they as four syntactic components.And the nature of its modified " VP" and co-occurrence of the nature of the echo word were investigated.In terms of pragmatic function,we mainly examine these words with the focus,pragmatic presupposition and its chapter function.In the fourth chapter we mainly describe its common features,in the fourth chapter mainly describes its personality characteristics.According to the investigation,we found that the differences in these words mainly manifested in four aspects:time range,different co-occurrence words,grammatical functions and linguistic style.The fifth chapter is the epilogue part.We make a summary of the contents of the whole article.
