The Development Of Peace Studies In Mainland China

The focus of this study is to review the status of peace studies in mainland China(hereinafter referred to as "Mainland").It will systematically explore the results of peace studies in Mainland,sum up experience and lessons learned to further promote the development of the study.At the same time,it will look forward to the future of Mainland's peace studies,comprehensively discuss the situation it faces,and put forward constructive suggestions on the development direction of peace study in China,In addition,through the elaboration of peace studies in Mainland,the author hopes to let more scholars understand and join peace studies,and to promote the practice of peace studies.In the introduction,it mainly explains the purpose,significance and innovation of this paper.On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the relevant academic research situation,it establishes the research frame and thought of this paper.The main body is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the background knowledge of peace studies.On the one hand,it reviews the development of peace thought from ancient times to the present,and it compares the similarities and differences between the two and their impact on contemporary peace studies.On the other hand,it explains the core concepts of peace studies,such as peace,violence,conflict,reconciliation,and so on.Then it introduces the basic paradigm of research on peace studies.The second chapter surveys the study of peace studies in Mainland from the 1980s to 2005,reviewing the environment,content,methods and values of the peace studies in the period.It gets an overall knowledge of the achievements and deficiencies of peace studies in Mainland in that period by analyzing different original article.Chapter Three is the core of the full text.From the aspects of basic research,research on"peace problem",education of peace,and education of peace studies,the author makes a comprehensive analysis of the main achievements of peace studies in Mainland from 2005 till now to finds out the current situation of peace studies research in Mainland.In the conclusion,the author summarizes the basic situation and development trend of peace studies research in Mainland,and expresses his thought about the Sinicization of peace studies.
