The Echo Of The Pure Land

The song Sun Rises Above Pure is one of the representative works of Mr. Zhou Guoqing. The touching picture depicted by the song moves numerous listeners and singers. When the author came into contact with this song for the first time,the author was also attracted by the work and the difficulty in singing, thus leading to the author's pondering over the singing techniques of the song. This thesis will comprehensively analyze and discuss the work from three aspects. First of all, the melody and artistic characteristics of the lyric are organized, so as to deeply explore the intuitive performance of combination of the lyric and melody. Secondly, different styles and expressive force of different famous singers' versions are compared,with a view to better improve and enrich the author's own expressive force. Lastly, based on the author's singing and studying experiences, the author focuses on analyzing the singing techniques and the overall mastery of the song,and emphasizes the importance of vowel and breath support. Through above three aspects, it is expected that Chinese art songs can be sung in a more standardized way and corresponding theoretical support can be provided.
