Epigraphy began in the Han Dynasty,after the evolution in the Wei Jin Dynasty and Tang Dynasty,it thrived in the Two Song Dynasty,and then it decayed in the Yuan and Ming Dynasty.Till Qing Dynasty,Epigraphy was revitalized and it became a notable doctrine,and it was in a period of great prosperity.Xi Qing Gu Jianis a great works that recorded the hoarded bronze wave in the Qing Dynasty.It was an important part of the Epigraphy research in the Qing Dynasty,and it also was the symble of prosperity of Epigraphy in the middle Qing Dynasty.The influence to the calligraphy by Xi Qing Gu Jian in the late Qing Dynasty belongs to the scope of the influence to arts by Epigraphy.Different from the Song Dynasty,it had special political and cultural background in the Qing Dynasty.On the one hand,the government of Qing carried out the policy of ‘Literary Inquisition'.On the other hand,the emperors promoted the research of Epigraphy because of their personal preference.Meanwhile,Many of the main scholars were government officials,and these facts changed the scholar's research direction and the trend of the calligraphy.It's easy to find out that the government of the Qing Dynasty and the works Xi Qing Gu Jian were playing important roles in this academic wave.Xi Qing Gu Jian drove the research about GoldenTripod after the emperors of Qianlong and Jiaqing.It helped the scholars and the calligraphers get a lot of reference.Then the tripod inscriptions became a new source to research the calligraphy.After the research about the tripod inscriptions,calligraphers improved their works.The article is to analyze the consequence and changes to the calligraphic art caused by the works Xi Qing Gu Jian by studying and discussing the book and thosecalligraphers who excelled in Golden Tripod and were representatives in the practice of Chinese bronze inscriptions in the middle and late Qing dynasty and by analyzing the practical and concrete practice of calligraphy.
