James McNeil Whistler is one of the most important and influential artists in England in the late nineteenth Century.This article from the three parts to analyze and research the main factors of Whistler,the first part outlines the experience of Whistler and the era background and influence of the artistic characteristics of Whistler;the second part mainly by the work of Whistler to explain his main artistic features,as well as "mother" of the main artistic characteristic and the spirit of the times;the third part discusses Whistler’s artistic achievement and influence on later generations.Through the above three parts,aims to outline the artistic features and artistic achievements of Whistler.
