This paper argues that the formation of classic Shufa cannot be only determined by its own unparalleled artistic value, nor can it be simply attributed to “the test of time”.In addition to the prerequisite inherent characteristics of the Shufa works to become classics, whether a piece of Shufa work will become a classic also depends on whether it can be constantly chosen, taken, and interpreted by the recipient repeatedly during history in the process of circulation. In the view of synchronic and diachronic acceptance, the process of canonization,in which Shufa works becoming classics,is influenced by the combination of complex and diverse Shufa aesthetic concepts and other non-artistic factors. Therefore,to be reviewed, the formation of classic Shufa works must be put back into a specific historical and cultural context. And once formed, one piece of Shufa work will at the same time have a profound artistic paradigm meaning and be of historical and cultural value.
