The Experience Of Benjamin Writing

"Experience" is the core idea in Benjamin’s works.Philosophical analysis of the"experience" in Benjamin’s works is different from the traditional empirical explanation.In his works,"experience" appears periodical changes."Experience" can be defined as cognitive experience as well as subjective experience.His works comprise personal life experience,philosophical conception and his feelings of world,which is the "experience" in his works.In the second section,the author will discuss Benjamin’s interpretation of "experience"in different stages and his features of internal experience and external experience in accordance with Benjamin’ s theoretical works such as On experience,Storyteller and Outline of Future Philosophy in German language and philosophical context.The external experience can be gained by means of feeling but it is different from absolute sensory perception.In his works,consciousness and feeling forms the subjective experience.This paper will analysis the characteristics of experience in Benjamin’s works from three sections which are time,space and body.The third section will take an example of rain to discuss his time theory.And base on the phenomenology and life philosophy."Time" is the philosophic idea,cognitive style and his life experience.In his works.Benjamin represses his time experience by depicting the rain.What the phenomenology focuses on and Benjamin studies is space.The forth section will dissert experience the space experiential characteristic by analyzing the residence of otter,the glazing,door and distance.And find the similarity between Benjamin and phenomenologist.They focus on spatial awareness and mind in the buildings.This kind of mind is same as art will of Riegl.On the one hand space plays a role in inspiring looker’s space perception.One the other hand,space represents political ideology.If time and space is dispositional modality,people will be the indispensable part.The "body experience" in his writing is different from soma but the consciousness and the perception of the carrier.The fifth section will list the color,porcelain,traditional Chinese painting to dissert his body experience from subjectivity and objectivity.His feeling of body is similar to Hassel and Merleau-ponty who inherits Husserl’s body experience.Although this kind of phenomenological theory is transcendental,Benjamin manifests it in an experiential way.
