Broadcasting British Corporation(BBC),founded in 1922,It is the UK's largest news agency,Its discourse expression has influence in the western world and Its documentaries are famous throughout the world.The face of China in BBC lens has been confined to a few poor image,in addition to the early historical and cultural documentaries,they always focus on "the three old things":"The polarization of economic development","one party dictatorship","the lack of human rights and the poverty of people" s livelihood".These images are appeared in early twenty?first Century.With the development of the Internet,the history and international cultural blend here and co?exist harmoniously,and in BBC's documentaries of China,its creation idea and expression of attitude also happened in the quietly changed.Especially in 2016,It changed its attitude of overlooking and output their western ideology and make them contrast,from the perspective of China's historical and cultural point of view to re?examine the image of China.This article focuses on the expression features and the evolution of BBC documentaries about China.On the characteristics of expression,this paper will be summarized from three aspects: Audio?visual expression,narrative expression and expression of ideas.Making analysis of the common characteristics of the Documentaries of BBC about China in the 21 Century.At the same time,it is more important to analyze the evolution.This paper intends to analyze and compare the changes of the Chinese face in the BBC lens,the change of narrative mode and the change of thinking dimension.Making objective analysis of the environment of globalization and the internet to dig out a political standpoint and attitude in discourse concealed that hidden in the development of the documentaries.
