Urban Environment Portrait Photography Research And Practice

Since the invention of photography in 1839,photography has become a means of historical record and artistic creation with its own function and charm.The author combines the records of photography and art,exploring the role of environmental portrait photography in urban image recording and meaning,practice shooting the "living in Shanghai" series,to explore different kinds of people's survival environment in Shanghai,professional appearance and mental state.This paper can be divided into three parts.The first part explains the evolution process of environmental portraits at home and abroad,and classifies the environmental portraits.The second part illustrates the record and significance of environmental portrait photography to urban image through two photographer cases.The third part is the author's personal works elaboration and creation process.
