The Palace Museum,the residence of the emperors during the Ming and qing dynasties,has a history of 600 years and is the essence of Chinese wooden palace architecture.The Palace Museum represents the treasure of Chinese culture.After the emergence of the image,the producer has not stopped recording the image of the Palace Museum.From the previous photos,to the later film photography,to the current digital signal,the image of the Palace Museum will appear in almost every era.Documentary is also a form of record the Forbidden City history and culture,at present,the documentary on the Forbidden City has accumulated more than 20 units,different age of documentary,the other for the imperial palace,large differences between this article by analyzing the different times of the palace theme documentary,trying to find out the palace documentary film discourse changes in image,further to explore the difference of expression of the Forbidden City.Among them,about the image discourse,this paper mainly discusses from two aspects.On the one hand,what discourse does the Palace Museum documentary itself say?On the other hand,in what ways are these words expressed.In view of this,it can be found that in the evolution process of the documentaries on the theme of the Palace Museum in different periods,there are great differences in the creation concept,production technique,shooting Angle and other aspects,presenting different image discourse.Firstly,during the period of national appeal,the documentaries on the theme of the Forbidden City presented obvious political propaganda discourse in order to stabilize the regime and educate the public.Secondly,the documentaries on the theme of the Palace Museum in the period of media reform mostly choose big events with grand narrative discourse.Then,in the period of marketization,the documentaries on the theme of the Palace Museum adapt to the development of the market and present the popular cultural discourse in a form popular with the audience.Finally,in the era of mobile Internet,through the form of storytelling,people's needs are emphasized and people-oriented discourse is given priority to.Therefore,the author hopes that through this article,the audience can have a more comprehensive and multi-angle view of the Forbidden City documentaries,and guide the audience to pay attention to the changes of the video discourse of the Forbidden City documentaries.
