A Study On The Degree Of Expression Of Fengjie Dialect In Chongqing

The degree is an important phenomenon in the objective world.The language reflecting the objective world must have the appropriate form to express these phenomena.The degree of description,is an important way for people to understand and describe the cognition of the objective world.Therefore,the degree of expression is a the essential grammatical semantic category in language system.Fengjie dialect belongs to Chengyu part of the southwest mandarin.There are two main reasons for taking the degree expression in Fengjie dialect as the research subject,because the degree expression in Fengjie dialect is very rich.Describing and analyzing the degree expression in Fengjie dialect is useful to record the language facts and enrich the study of dialect grammar and modern Chinese.This paper analyzes the grammatical phenomenon in Fengjie dialect in two areas:morphology and syntactic structure.This paper also makes thorough and careful research into the structure distribution,grammatical features and pragmatic features of the degree expression in Fengjie dialect and analyzes the historical sources of some of its usage.This paper comprises five chapters.Chapter one is the introduction.This chapter mainly provide a brief introduction to the geography,history and population of Fengjie and the attribution of Fengjie dialect.The study of the degree expression and Chongqing dialect is mentioned in this paper.This paper also describes the significance of the subject and the research methodology.Chapter two analyzes the degree expression in Fengjie dialect in morphology.This chapter analyzes the structure features,grammatical features and pragmatic features of adjectives of AB and ABB,discuss the resources and the reasons why they can express degree.Chapter three analyzes the adverbial components of degree expression in Fengjie dialect.This chapter makes a synchronic description and explanation to the words such as ji(?)?hao(?)?man(?)?nenge(??)or(??),from four aspects:definition and distribution,grammatical features,pragmatic features,negative forms.And then makes a diachronic study of the reason why these words can express degree.Chapter four analyzes the complement structures and other structures of degree expression in Fengjie dialect.This chapter divides the Predicate-Complement structure which expresses degree into combined type and agglutinating type.And then describe and analyze each small types under these two types from the aspect of definition,grammar and pragmatics.As compiled the definitions,this chapter discuss the acquisition of degree meanings of the words such as hen(?)?yaosi(??)or yaoming(??).Chapter five is the conclusion.This chapter makes a summing up to the features of degree expression in Fengjie dialect,points out the shortage and some issue which need a further study.
