Mawei Huqin

In this thesis,the MaweiHuqin is the research object.A comprehensive review of the history of Huqin will be explored through the interpretation of the signified Huqin.According to the textual research and comparisons among the Huqin image references,the development of the Huqin will be divided into three stages:string-playing,string-pressing,string-pulling.After summarizing the researches,it is found that MaweiHuqin first appeared in the Western Xia regime,and its birthplace was in northern Shaanxi,which located in Mizhi Village(now northern Shaanxi Mizhi County).The author believes that the MaweiHuqin attaches great importance to the development of the stringed instruments and lays a good foundation for the bowed instruments.It plays the prelude for the history of the Chinese stringed instrumentsThe thesis consists of four chapters.Chapter one(introduction)first clarifies the original intention,the reason and significance of choosing the research question,and arranges and summarizes the current research situation of this kind of problem,then introduces the research method and innovation of this thesis.Chapter two reviews the history of "huqin".First of all,the distinction between contemporary Huqin musical instruments and its signified meaning during historical development from the concept will be made.Then,it gives an introduction to the development and changes of Huqin form its signified meaning and original development.Chapter three mainly discusses the relationship between Xiqin(Jiqin)and MaweiHuqin.By analyzing the development of the history and name changes of Huqin in different historical periods,this thesis analyzes the predecessor development of MaweiHuqin.The last chapter summaries the emergence and development of the MaweiHuqin through analyzing the emergence of its name,its signified meaning and development,including its introduction,rise and its birthplace with the analysis of the picture data.It's obvious to know that the emergence and development of MaweiHuqin gives an important impact to the contemporary Huqin class string instruments and its promotion.
