The Creation And Performance Characteristics Of The Chinese Classical Dance Drama "Liangzhou Ci"

Poetry and dance are of the same historical origin,but they drifted apart as time went by.Contemporary cultural and artistic development injects vigor and vitality into these two artistic forms and they begin to reintegrate with each other.As classical Chinese poetry,Poems of Tang Dynasty share similarity with Chinese Classical Dance in themes and artistic presentation.“Liang Zhou Song,” a Chinese classical dance,is inspired by the Tang Poem with the same title.By analyzing the rules of rhyming and subtleness in emotional expression in both classical dance and poetry,the author of the thesis tries to explore the artistic expression and connotations in dance creation.The thesis will analyze the Classical dance “Liang Zhou Song” and elaborate how Tang Poem inspires the creation and performance of the dance.The thesis aims to provide practical reference to the study of Chinese Classical Dance.
