This essay mainly discusses the "direct modeling" of ceramic materials,by means of combining thedevelopment of art and contemporary backgrounds,so well as the aesthetic characteristics of onticceramic language.Also,this article includes both the history of Chinese ceramic materials and the20th century Western modernism.However,artists today tend to shape models and confrontmaterials directly,as it is a creative way,due to the development and changes of the time.Besides,direct modeling is not only a technology of processing materials,but also the artists who want topursue self-spiritual value.Due to the fact that the artists' realization of material attitudes gradually evolved and thecomprehension of those conceptions of direct modeling,as well as the way of artists express theirwills,the writer deeply discussed the cultural backgrounds and origins behind this concept,including the core aesthetic characteristics and the generation of improvisation.Among that,thecharacteristics of direct modeling language will be specifically probed into.By analyzing itsfeatures of ceramic ontic language and the impact of "direct" awareness and expressions,the mainpurpose of this essay is to find out the connection among the "unconsciousness","improvisation"and " chance " arisen from the body and soil communication.Overall,creation methods have a lot to do material,sculpture and artistic interactions,which makeit meaningful and crucial.Direct modeling,as a significant creation method,expressively helpedartists to reach their potential by art making,which is also a way of digging out the property of soil.All those features cultivated the improvisation that happened spontaneously and strengthen the bondbetween human and nature.
