Dewey's Philosophy View

This paper examines Dewey’s theory of transforming philosophy from the conception of philosophy,and explores the aesthetic tendency of philosophy in Dewey’s philosophy of Philosophy,and analyzes its significance and limits.Dewey absorbed the views of Peirce,James and other pragmatic philosophers,and took Darwin’s theory of evolution and Hegel’s philosophy as his own theoretical material,formed his own unique philosophy theory,and proposed the concept of aesthetic philosophy.On the one hand,Dewey uses the method of occurrence to trace the origin of philosophy,and puts forward that philosophy originates from the contradiction between skill and religion,and the original aim of philosophy is to purify and enhance the influence of traditional social ideas,and to launch a strong challenge to the status quo of philosophy as "scientific science".Based on the in-depth understanding of the background and experience concept of social science level progress,Dewey reformed philosophy from Ontology,epistemology,philosophy and so on,and reconstructed the concept of experience to discover its value to life,and then drew the philosophical pursuit of aesthetics.On the other hand,Dewey considered philosophy and life from the view of art.He believes that the present art view is divided with life and philosophy.Art is difficult to provide aesthetic enjoyment for the civilian population.If the philosophy wants to return to the life,it must first let the art return to the life,simultaneously the art also has provided own support and the pattern to the transformation of the philosophy.The process of philosophy returning to life is also the process of aesthetic appreciation of philosophy itself.Dewey’s philosophy has a certain influence on the development of Chinese and Western philosophy,and its thought provides theoretical basis for the study of the philosophy of daily life and Practical philosophy.Although the theory of John Dewey’s philosophy has the eclectic problem and failed to define the art precisely,it has caused a certain degree of confusion.But we can not deny the theoretical significance of its philosophical view.
