| As an important type of American TV drama products,"legal TV series" has been longstanding in America,and in the context of global cultural exchanges,they keep receiving constant attention from overseas audiences.As a kind of narrative works,the typical legal narrative elements has previously existed in the crime drama as the supplement to keep the whole story's integrity,but with the differentiation of the types of TV drama,these legal elements have been stripped from the crime drama,which has weakened the fiery and lively action scenes,but highlighted the professional scenes of the legal workers,and conveyed the mainstream values of society.Then legal TV series began to become a special drama type with fixed creative patterns,combined with specific cultural background in this mode,the current social phenomenon has been described in legal TV series.This paper will take the "Current American legal TV series" as the research text,starting with the definition of concepts,to integrate information about its law of emergence and development,and to detailedly analyze the narrative content,narrative structure and narrative context of specific cases by applying the theory of narratology,then to illustrate the narrative patterns of American legal TV series.This research will contribute to the understanding of American legal culture by means of TV series communication situation. |
